No doubt that sports may be used as a tool in outreach of a church. Many churches like ours have softball teams and other such teams. A few years ago we built a very nice baseball field and have used it to have our own children’s baseball camp each summer. This camp is run by our own church and is open to all children. Over the years we have produced an entire manual for the running of the camp.

In order to finance the camp we have local businesses which sponsor it as well as our own people. The men of our church gave to buy a professional pitching machine. The camp runs Monday thru Friday and concludes Saturday morning with a big game observed by family and friends. We conclude with a lunch for everybody and an awards time.
