New Member Luncheon

Twice a year we have a new members luncheon following our 11:00 AM service.  As a church grows, it is that much more important that church members get to know one another more.  This allows for encouragement toward one another.  Having a new members luncheon allows the new members to get to know so many more in the church.  We invite each new member that has joined in the last six months as well as their family.  The pastoral staff and deacons as well as their families also attend.  We begin the dinner about 15 minutes after the service in our fellowship hall.  Following the dinner I do just a few things:

  1. Introduce everybody who is there.
  2. Go over a few things about the church.
    • We are independent Baptist
    • Ways to get answers to questions.
    • Theme for the year.
    • Answer any questions they have.
  3. Dismiss with prayer.
  4. Deacons and wives handle clean up.

This will be a great help in your ministry to incorporate your members into greater service.

Church Growth Ministry Ideas

These ideas are given to help your church to reach more people for Christ.

If you are like me you are always looking for good ideas that can be implemented without compromising convictions in the process.

I believe you can still build a local, independent Baptist church in the age in which we live.  These ideas are ones that I have successfully used and trust they will assist you.
